Encouraged by the tremendous success of its recently concluded residential plots scheme, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is preparing to launch a similar residential plot scheme in January-February 2024, according to officials of the development authority.
This upcoming scheme is expected to offer around 2,000 residential plots of various sizes, situated in close proximity to the upcoming Noida International Airport. The sectors for these plots are yet to be finalized.
Arun Vir Singh, the Chief Executive Officer of YEIDA, highlighted the popularity of residential plots among the public, pointing to the overwhelming response to the recent scheme.
On 18 October 2023, YEIDA conducted a draw for 1,184 residential plots spread across three different sectors. A staggering 1.4 lakh applicants had expressed interest in the plots situated in sectors 16, 17, and 20, along the Yamuna Expressway.
While the acquisition of land for the proposed residential plot scheme is still pending, YEIDA’s land department has been tasked with expediting the process. Once the land is in the authority’s possession, preparations for the new housing scheme will be set in motion.
Expected to conclude by the end of December, the land acquisition process is projected to make the plots available for development by January 2024. Consequently, YEIDA is poised to unveil the new residential plots scheme at the outset of the new year, as confirmed by the official.
